Material information:
- Chipboard: Chipboard, also known as chipboard, is a composite wood material made from small pieces of wood, usually pine or spruce, glued together under high pressure and temperature using resins. It is widely used in the manufacture of furniture, interior surfaces and structural applications. It is made from recycled materials and is resistant to bending, abrasion and other natural stresses.
- Melamine (LPB): LPB (Low Pressure Melamine) is a synthetic material widely used in the surface treatment of particleboard in furniture and surface manufacturing, due to its durability and ease of maintenance. It is applied to substrates such as MDF (Medium-density fibreboard) or OSB plywood to produce durable surfaces.
- PVC: PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) is a polymer
plastic. It is resistant to various conditions, including
moisture, chemical corrosion and wear. This durability makes it
suitable for exterior and interior applications. PVC is recyclable
and can be reused to produce new products, reducing
the environmental footprint. - Metal: Metal is widely used in furniture construction, offering a number of advantages over other materials. It is extremely resistant to wear and tear, ideal for furniture intended for daily use in a demanding environment. It maintains its shape and structure perfectly, ensuring stability and longevity in furniture. In addition to the properties mentioned above, metal can also have other characteristics, such as antimicrobial action (copper) or superconductivity (molybdenum).
Maintenance instructions:
- Chipboard: To clean chipboard, you can use a soft cloth lightly dampened with water and a mild detergent. Avoid excessive use of water and keep the surface dry after cleaning.
- Melamine (LPB): To remove stains from the surface, use a soft cloth with lukewarm water and mild soap. Gently wipe the surface until the stain is removed. Melamine is sensitive to moisture, so it is important to protect it from water.
- PVC: For its maintenance use a soft cloth.
cloth or sponge, lightly dampened with mild detergent and warm water.
Spread the cloth over the PVC surface, cleaning the area with a light
pressure. Avoid using strong solvents or chemicals as these may damage the
cause damage. - Metal: If it is any indoor metal, dusting or cleaning with a damp cloth at regular intervals is the appropriate option. However, if it is metal outdoor furniture, you should follow the steps below:
- For longer-lasting protection, treat your metal furniture with a protective cream that you can easily obtain from commercial stores.
- If your furniture is treated and painted using the powder-coating method (electrostatic painting), then it is very durable and easy to clean with a damp cloth.
- If your metal furniture is not electrostatically painted, then you should take extra care of it and keep it away from water and moisture. You can cover it with special covers and, if possible, bring it indoors during the winter.
- If you notice rust, remove it with turpentine and then apply anti-rust varnish before painting the surface with rust-resistant paint.
