It was dressed in floral fabrics, leather, many different patterns with special textures, up to Chesterfield. Over the years, we may have seen variations on the bergère design, with the arms covered, the back raised, and the cushion dimensions changed, but the basic idea of a large, comfortable armchair has never changed. A large, comfortable armchair is often better than an entire sofa.

MAINTENANCE:
To keep velvet clean and fluffy, it is a good idea to vacuum it once a week. Attach a soft brush, set your vacuum to the gentle setting, and sweep the entire surface in the direction of the grain. You will see that the dust will immediately be removed and the pile of the fabric will be as good as new.
Under no circumstances should you rub a velvet fabric. Even if you need to remove a stain, do not rub it. Dampen a soft cloth with water and dab it locally on the stain.
Leather (i.e. the cloths we use to dry the car) is also an ideal choice for cleaning velvet.
