Mindi is an expensive type of wood in the market and is known for its amazing strength and durability. Mindi wood is also known as chinaberry, faux, cedarwood, sycamore, marindi wood, geringging and white cedar. The main origin of Mindi wood is the Netherlands. Today, Mindi wood is found in various parts of the world, including India, Asia and North America. The outer layer of Mindi wood (sapwood) has a yellowish-white color. Whereas, the inner layer of Mindi wood (hardwood) has a reddish color which eventually turns into reddish-brown after some time and exposure to light.
