CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL:
The "hat" is made from dried banana tree fibers and sisal fibers. Sisal (Agave sisalana) is a species of flowering plant native to southern Mexico, but now widely cultivated in many other countries. Its leaves yield a stiff fiber that is used in making rope and various other products. The term sisal can refer to either the common name of the plant or the fiber, depending on the context.

MAINTENANCE:
The luminaire does not require any special maintenance. A dusting at regular intervals is sufficient.
